musicing was born from the music education practice of Ben, and the creative relationship formed with one of his songwriting students Alex. Though their experiences with music differed, they both believed in the same fundamental truth; music education empowers us all.

Ben is a lifelong musician and passionate music educator who was always curious about the power of music and driven to explore new meaningful ways of unlocking its power. He was raised in a musical family but traveled the world as the child of two wildlife conservationists. He decided from a young age that music was his vocation, and he has spent the past 10 years exploring the power and practice of meaningful music education.
I believe great musicians are the ones who contribute something meaningful back into the art form, transforming how people understand and connect with music in their lives.
musicing is my vision for a more musical world. I believe everyone of us has a meaningful journey with music. It teaches us how to connect with others and helps us experience the joy and depth of being human. I believe our world is better when it is musical, and people always welcome music into their lives. So it is my mission to help make the music of our world do more, even if that means teaching people the impact of music in their lives, one person at a time.

Alex co-founded music_ing to turn his passion and love of music into something every day people could use. Part builder, part creator, Alex lives in the details of the experience — the flow of a session, the feel of a first connection, the moment an idea clicks.
"The tech should disappear. What's left is you, a mentor, and the music."
Whether it's picking up an instrument for the first time, finding the right mentor, or connecting with other musicians, Alex believes the most effective learning happens through real human interaction. His focus has always been on creating experiences that feel intuitive, welcoming and genuinely enjoyable.
For Alex, musicing is about much more than online lessons. It's about creating a global community where people can learn, collaborate, share ideas and grow together, regardless of their age, ability or background.

Not every part of building something meaningful happens in the musicing session room. Peter works in the parts of musicing that most will never see.
Behind the scenes he's delivering a thoughtful creative business that's built on rigorous foundations. With his wealth of experience, he has supported start-ups and scale-ups across multiple industries; working hard with founders to ensure vision meets reality.
For us he's making sure the business behind the music is as strong as the music itself.
